Happily Ever After *sigh* Just so damn good. This trilogy took us from the depths of dark love to the heights of trust and true love. What more can you possibly ask for?

Drocco and Cailyn's story began with deception, cruelty, passion, miscommunication... pretty much everything that can go wrong in a relationship, yet they were ultimately tied to one another. This is one of those series where you know they will figure it out, they have no choice but to since they are the two halves of the whole. As a reader, we just keep hoping that when they eventually figure it out, the whole comes together beautifully and not with a massive fissure. That's exactly what Ms. Ellis did. Between their stubborn, prideful behavior (on both their parts) Drocco and Cailyn were able to see clear to the other, putting aside the mistrust and lies that surrounded them, ending the characters' story with a depth of love, trust, and honesty.

If you are looking for a book with highs, lows, ups, down, anger, passion, sex, and ultimately love, this is the omegaverse series you need to read. Excellently written, fully developed characters, keeps you reading. Can't wait for the next book!!

Loved Drocco & Cailyn journey and I’m saddened it has come to an end - great job wrapping it up. I’m excited about the upcoming stories - but more curious as to how Ms. Ellis will pull off Malloron’s story. It will require a ton of redemption as there was mention of some horrific abuses going on in his Kingdom. Amara will have to be as strong as Cailyn, maybe even more strong willed.

We’ll see, I’ll happily join in that journey as well and see where Ms. Ellis takes us. I hope she doesn’t stop writing within the Omega world before she gives us a story about Drocco and Cailyn’s daughter or one of their Alpha children. See I’m invested and already looking for adventures from the next generation lol!
I'd say the pace, plot, and complexity were pretty solid in this conclusion.
Sometime during the second book, I started to lose my patience with the main character, so by the time I finished this one, all I could feel was relief. From making strange, ill thought out decisions, her lack of communication, her blind faith, her stubbornness, willful ignorance, and everything in between- I got through it to see how it all ended up, not because I enjoyed the Cailyn experience.
I had to knock off 2 stars for my own personal tastes (I hate cheese, and stupid broads, and cannot abide either one) but if you read and enjoyed the first two books, I highly recommend this, as you won't be disappointed. This doesn’t say it's only 279 pages, but I think it might be due to the file size. But I'm honestly just relieved this series doesn't string you along for another 200 something pages and another cliffhanger.
For me, the end of a trilogy is always the most satisfying because (one hopes) all the loose ends tie together. This is no exception. I’ve read and re-read this novel again and again because not only due to the story arc but the emotional arcs as well. Cailyn was a bit frustrating in that she STILL showed faith when none was deserved but she was the only one who experienced growth and enlightenment, but Drocco did as well. I don’t tend to like storylines where the only one who grows is the heroine and the hero still stays the same and shows no impetus to change. Drocco underwent a change in mindset too which brought them together in a very suspenseful plot. I loved the erotic scenes even those that started out somewhat unpleasant. Zoey Ellis has a way of weaving a hot sex scene with strong emotions threaded around it to make you feel that it’s not Jair about “instalust.” I deeply enjoyed the last 3rd of the book especially. I’d love to revisit these characters in a future novel to perhaps deal with a conflict that affects the Empire and that has an impact on their bond as well!
Just like her Angel series this series was a perfect combination of adventure, story, romance and plot and it all comes together beautifully for a greyish dark romance. The growth the characters showed and Ms. Ellis's attention to detail in her world separates this epic fantasy from many. Ms. Ellis' craft keeps getting better and better. My only complaint was that the last half of the book felt a little rushed. I understand that the stories of this world (as defined the Western and Eastern Lands LOVE the map BTW) aren't done. I just greedily wanted a little more . . .

The first half of the book we see a Cailyn that is struggling to understand how she has been lied to and manipulated by the Omega Mothers. She struggles to understand how they have been using her and what the reason for it was. I absolutely loved how Drocco and Cailyn came to choose each other and as a couple they grew and overcame huge advertises. There are still some things up in the air and not as well defined but Ms. Ellis does a very good job of spinning her world and arcs together. Her characters are complex and flawed but at the same time one can only root for them to find each other and prevail. Special kudos for mentioning how Cailyn felt about her body and how the bond helped her understand how Drocco felt for her (it made the story real and tender at the same time).

Wonders! What a perfect ending to this couple's story. We pick up right where the other left off. Cailyn has tough questions for the mothers back at the compound. Drocco is doing everything he can to get to his true mate. There's plenty of conflict & suspense.These two know they're destined for each other. Drocco wants to prove he can be a respectful alpha to his adversaries. Caitlyn is out to return to where she belongs. It's clear these two deserve their HEA. This was a great closure to their stunning story. Can't wait for the next couple's adventure.
