Shutout The Core Four Book 4 edition by Stacy Borel Romance eBooks

Editing!!! Missing words, extra words, wrong words used!! Character descriptions weren't consistent either. The mistakes were very easy to spot, no excuses on not correcting them.
Hadley, I'm very partial to that name since it's my maiden name. She let the bullying define her entire life, which unless you've lived it, I doubt any of us can understand why.
Wrigley, I am questioned why he pursued Hadley. He basically ignored her for years so why now? Spoilers follow so don't continue if you haven't read it...
What he said to Livi was absolute crap! And Hadley excepted a weak apology for it. While he said he hadn't been with Livi while they were apart, what about other girls? I don't know that I buy that a guy who was very active sexually didn't move on after not having had sex with Hadley.
Now, a silly rant, kids don't move out of their dorms at winter break. They haven't been in school for 5 months at Thanksgiving break either.
Bottom line, the last two books in this series were a long time coming, and deeply disappointing.

Shutout The Core Four Book 4 edition by Stacy Borel Romance eBooks Reviews

The first book in this series was amazing. I loved everything about it, but they just got progressively worse. This whole book is just in Hadley's head. There is little interaction with anyone else.
This story seemed a lot more young teen romance than adult story, and didn't really seem to fit the culture or style of the other 3 books. Having said that I would still read the series again, as overall it was awesome.
This one was a little more 'cutesy' than passionate, and there were more sloppy editing errors than in previous books. I do think if an author is going to charge more than a dollar or two for a book, then those types of things should be sorted out.
Overall a very simple, quick and easy read.
Shutout was the fourth and final book in the Core Four series by Stacy Borel.

Wrigley Brooks was the youngest Brooks brother, gorgeous, fun, outgoing and was attending LSU on a baseball scholarship.

Hadley Marten was quiet, shy and socially awkward. She selected LSU so she could have a fresh start and a new beginning, putting the bullying and meanness of high school behind her.

Shutout was told in a singular POV, Hadley's. Wrigley and Hadley were both from the same small town in GA. They lived a few doors down from each other growing up but weren't necessarily friends. Wrigley was popular and Hadley was not. Once they were at LSU, Wrigley pursued Hadley hard; however, Hadley wanted nothing to do with him and kept pushing him away. Their relationship building and overcoming Hadley's baggage was the sole focus of the story.

I was torn over Hadley. I understood her trust issues from high school - she obviously was bullied. But once Wrigley showed genuine interest and they were dating awhile, I didn't get her continued whining. I wanted to see her confidence build but we never really got to see that progression and therefore, I was craving more.

I enjoyed the premise of the story; however, there were numerous editing errors, which were distracting. Otherwise, I enjoyed Borel's style.

This should conclude the Core Four series. I enjoyed all four siblings, the foundation of each storyline, and the family ties that were consistent throughout each book. A potential spinoff could include Aurora/Bishop, Matt, and Chris. I look forward to seeing what comes next from Borel.
I just demolished this book in just a couple hours. I think the best part about Stacey Borel's book is the realistic vibe she puts out. This could have been my friends in college which made me love this even more (not the epilogue of course but you know what I mean)

Wrigley and Hadley are the icing on the cake to this series. The sweetest book out of the 4 brothers with the innocence of being in college made this my favorite book. I enjoyed following along the Brooks family as they fell in love and I'm sad to see them go. ( I would like to point out that we could always have one more shot at Bree...hint hint Stacey!)
I so wanted to love this book because I have been with this series since the beginning. First off there are so many extra words that don't belong as well as many typos. It seems that this story was rushed and we don't see much in way of character development. I just feel we could have learned more about their relationship. Each scene seemed like it was just thrown in to just finish the series. I know the author is working on something else at the moment so maybe this is the reason she rushed through Wrigley's story. You don't see much from her other characters as well from this series and we love all of them. Don't get me wrong it was a good concept but it just needed that little bit extra to be a great story. it just seems like they go from being friends to boyfriend and girlfriend without all the details that we are used to from this Author. I still love Stacy Borel and will continue to read her books
In the future as long as I feel like she won't create a story just to throw away the last in the series to start something new. We have been invested these past couple of years with these characters and I wanted to be excited but I was left disappointed.
I've waited and waited for this book in this series and it was a total let down! The whole book felt rushed, the characters had no development and the epilogue was horrible! I wish we could've had a more in depth story. The first book was by far the best, all the others didn't even come close. Would love a rewrite!
Loved the first two in the series, number 3 was good, but number 4 missed the mark for me. I didn't like Hadley at all -I get that she's only 18 and immature, but I really did not find any redeeming qualities. I could not understand what Wrigley would've seen in her and been attracted to -she kept to herself and basically judged everyone around her for years following a series of elementary school bullying episodes. Also needed a better proof read -used "IUD" in a sentance that was obviously meant to be "IED" -that was a biggy that obviously stuck with me. It might've been better if I had liked Hadley at least a little bit, but because she just annoyed me the entire story, I could not enjoy this one.
